A
Message From The Artist
Terri Lockmiller Jacobus

From the moment I found I was a doll maker as a very young starry eyed woman I had only one ambition, to be the best. What else is there? I was madly passionate in my pursuit and highly original. I taught myself to make dolls. There were no rules, we just had honor and patience and a love for dolls.
When I was a little girl I dreamed of being an astronaut, I was going to be an archeologist, then a scientist. I was going to dig in Egypt and then I decided I wanted to be a writer. By the time I was 12 I was going to be a fashion designer. With my dolls I managed to do all those things. So with my dolls I have done everything I dreamed of, even if it was just in my mind.
